"Marquee Event" Rotary Charity Airshow

Cap off your summer by experiencing amazing aerial displays at the 2016 Rotary Charity Airshow in Brantford. Aviation is showcased both in the air and on the ground. Returning favourites will include spectacular displays by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, Canada’s CF-18 fighter jet demonstration, daring aerobatics and more. This family-friendly event will offer additional entertainment and activities on the ground, including more aircraft on display, an autograph tent, aviation displays and vendors, a kids amusement area and food offerings. Bring your chairs and cameras out to the Brantford Municipal Airport and let your wings soar! Gates open 11am. Air Show begins at 2pm. The Rotary Charity Airshow is a FREE event. Donations at the gate are appreciated. Parking is $15 per vehicle (Field parking, walking distance to show. Accessibility parking available) Dinner with the Pilots – Fundraising Event: On Tuesday, August 30th, attend an exciting fundraising dinner with the performers. "From Stress to Strength" Caregiver Education Series

Presented by the Brant Victorian Order of Nurses (VON), this four-part education series is for the family caregiver or friend who is caring for an adult with a long-term illness or disability. Caregivers gain information about handling stressful situations in care giving, tackling some of the common emotions such as guilt and anger and linking with community resources. 12th Annual World’s Largest Truck Convoy in support of Special Olympics

Bring your friends and family to an amazing event! What: A celebration – a convoy, barbeque, awards ceremony, family entertainment, prize draws and most importantly, smiling Special Olympics Ontario athletes. The city of Paris, Ontario will be hosting the 12th Annual World’s Largest Truck Convoy in support of Special Olympics. A one-day event in which Law Enforcement officers make special dispensation and escorts a convoy of trucks. Who: A supportive local trucking industry will be joined by Law Enforcement officers and Special Olympics Ontario athletes who will be cheering on the participants from across the province.Truckers will traverse at 10:00 a.m. for a total of 120km from Paris, Ontario to Putnam Road in London, Ontario and back to the Paris Fairgrounds, where there will be various events and activities. Objective: The World's Largest Truck Convoy is a one-day celebration raises funds for Special Olympics, an organization dedicated to promoting a more active and better quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities through their involvement in sport. Join the Canadian Cancer Society Brant-Norfolk Community Office on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Tigercat Industries in Paris, Ontario for the War Horse Warrior Challenge Mud Run. This day will be filled with mud, obstacles, fun and more mud. Bring the family! We have courses for the whole family. We have a 1.5km course for our little mudders, a 3km course for those future mudders in training and for the bigger kids/adults, we have a 5km recreation course and a 5km elite challenge. As we gear up for one of the largest Car Shows in Southern Canada, at our Annual Car Show & Swap Meet there are many things to do.
