Walk and Talk

Culture Days at Addie's

Culinary Arts & Agriculture, Heritage — Hands-On Activity, Behind-the-scenes The Adelaide Hunter Hoodless Homestead and the Burford Tractor Club are teaming up this year to bring you Culture Days at Addie's on Saturday October 1st from 10am- 2pm. Come for a behind-the-scenes tour of the childhood home of Adelaide Hunter Hoodless, and stay for the tractors, corn husking, games, spinning demonstrations, rope making and more! Adelaide Hunter Hoodless was a national champion for women and family education during the Victorian era, but had her humble beginnings in St George Ontario. The Homestead is restored to 1875, when Addie was just 17 years old. Free tours of the homestead and demonstrations with be provided at the homestead as well as outdoor activities for a fee.
